It is important where you travel to, but the most important thing is whom you travel with.
For a long time I used to travel with a group of friends. We were experiencing all kinds of things and we got used to the long talks we had when drinking a bottle of wine or clubbing till 6 in the morning.
Lately, I just like to travel with my love, only the two of us.
Traveling with your partner is a skill that needs to be mastered, especially if you have different personalities.
You will be together for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will be no job, gym time or other distraction that can give you time apart.
Things like the ones mentioned below can easily happen and ruin your vacation and relationship:
- You are in a very chic terrace in Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world, and he plays “video games” on his phone.
- You feel romantic when the night is still young and he enters the room in his “grandpa” pijamas and just wants to go to sleep.
- You are too tired or after a long flight or too hungry, and become a “bridezilla” type of person. Imagine how your partner will handle it. It is getting as real as it can be.
Although there are moments when you feel like pulling his eyes out, you should know that there are some things that you have to consider when you plan a romantic getaway just for the two of you.
1. Traveling with your partner
You will have someone with whom to share both the beauties and also possible problems. For us this is the best part of the trip – there is always someone with whom to do things, laugh, share stories and create memories.
2. You can save money
Group trips are generally much cheaper. Accommodation, transport, etc … will be divided into two. Plus that certain things can have group discounts.
This is especially true when you travel to unknown places. Every city has its own problems. When you travel with your partner, there will always be someone to “watch your back”.
4. You won’t get bored or feel alone
When you travel by yourself you risk feeling lonely. Sometimes you will feel the need to talk to someone or to share a dinner or a particular moment.
5. It’s the perfect way to get to know your partner
Especially when your relationship is fresh, the best way to really know the true personality of your partner is to have a vacation together in an unknown destination that can take you completely out of your comfort zone. And you will know for sure!
If you survive your first vacation together, this is a good sign.
6. It strengthens your whole relationship
Studies have shown that couples traveling together are happier in general. The act of doing new things releases dopamine, which is the chemical substance of the brain associated with happiness. We do not mention the fact that you will build beautiful moments together, moments that you will remember your entire life.
7. And the most important one:
You will learn that if you are next to the right person, it does not matter where you will travel to, wherever you go it will be great.
Traveling with your partner can be an incredible rewarding experience. It can also test the limits and tie the connection of the two of you.
